We're a team of veterinarians, farmers, aquaculture scientists and engineers headquartered in Rebala (Nellore District), Andhra Pradesh, with an operational hub in Akividu, West Godavari. We built Pond Care because Indian aquaculture — a ₹1.2 lakh crore industry — was still running on WhatsApp, paper diaries and unlicensed “pond doctors”. Our founder has spent 22 years fixing that problem farm by farm. Now we're fixing it for every pond in India.

Shaik Akbar Ali is the visionary Founder of POND CARE, leading the charge in revolutionising the global aquaculture industry. With an unparalleled career spanning over 22 years in the aquaculture and fishery sector — commencing in July 2002 — he brings a rare blend of scientific expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep empathy for the farming community.
He is the founder of IIFSA (Information and Inputs for Sustainable Aquaculture) LLP, an organisation he meticulously established in 2009. Through IIFSA, Mr. Ali pioneered integrated aquaculture health management services — delivering expert advice, technology transfer, and essential pond inputs directly to farmers. The Pond Pharmacy products, now a core offering of Pond Care, were developed and field-validated under his leadership at IIFSA over more than a decade, demonstrating “very good results in field applications”.
From a dedicated public servant in fisheries to a pioneering agripreneur and industry expert — with a proven track record of leveraging technology for aquaculture development — Mr. Ali is uniquely positioned to lead Pond Care in its mission to cultivate a healthier, more profitable, and sustainable future for aquaculture worldwide.
